We had great fun looking around the restoration projects and going for a ride on a genuie steam train.

Took family with Grandson for a trip on the train. Kids enjoyed the trip (two in price, including one in a guards van. Son in Law and I enjoyed seeing the work being done. A good half day out.

Loved the quaint qualities of this place - very small but lovely. Guard clearly loves his job and the Santa Special steam engine was really special. Going to go back again as I couldnt get to grips with their opening times. My fault though - now I have the leaflet it's very simple!

fine if you just enjoy the experience of going up and down a track with not much to see, but if lots of people do they will have the money to expand and make it a much more interesting journey
