Living in Sheffield we often go out to Longshaw to get away and unwind. There is everything from a gentle short walk followed by tea and a cake, or a more extensive days excursion. The views are always stunning and it is never the same twice. We love it! More

We have been here dozens of time and always enjoy it. Busy at weekends but if you walk away from cafe/shop it soon gets quieter. Lovely views. Toilets at shop. We often walk down to Grindleford station and have a bacon sandwich at the greasy spoon there, then walk back through Padley woods. In the summer it is lovely to... More

Sheffield was famously described by Wordsworth as a "dirty picture in a golden frame", and though the dirty picture is long gone the golden frame survives intact. This part of Derbyshire just four miles from Sheffield and within the Peak Park, is part of that "golden frame" with wonderful views across the most delightful area of the UK. The car... More

We came across this site when we visited Rotherham The House was not open to the Public but that didnt matter as it didnt look very appealimg to the eye. The area surrounding was however quite astounding. The views were lovely and the paths were well marked out and it was pretty hard to get lost. The Autumn Colours on... More

lovely area to walk with beautiful views. The pathways are mostly well made with pretty clear directions (do not have to be skilled in orienteering). There is a point where you have a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the village below. I love nature and there is an 'ant trail' on the estate, which, I thought we... More
