It takes ages to go round and read all the stuff but it's so interesting. The interactive tour parts at the beginning and end are great; they're usually actors so you get drawn into the history with their wit and stories. More

Went here years ago. As someone who as a bit of an interest in local history etc, I really don't think I could have been more bored if I tried. Not sure anyone under the age of 50 would get much out of a visit here, it is near some very good bars & eateries though. More

A great afternoon, bit gory in places and truly shocking in terms of the legal system and poor people but overall fascinating and very educational. More

I visited this place on my own for a change and so could dally and really have a good look at everything. There is plenty to see and I was there for over 2 hours. This is an old courthouse and prison converted into an attraction and museum. And thrown into the mix is also 3 'characters' (2 of whom... More

I took my nan to the galleries on a recent visit to nottingham. It was a really great day, we especially liked the sheriff of nottingham's opening to the tour! We were pleasantly surprised that you can get a combined ticket for the galleries and nottingham's caves as we visited both in one day. More

Would have liked to have had the noises of the old courts drifting through this place and it was really quiet and needed something to either scare you a bit or make it more interesting More

We have been researching convict history but nothing prepares for the true horror of the conditions in this prison in Georgian times. Brought to life by excellent guides. It was a good two hours spent if you are interested in the subject. More

I have been here twice as have taken visitors. Good museum, interesting exhibits and very thought provoking. Would probably scare very young children. They held a mock trial while we were there and I was called as a witness. Costumed staff were really good. More
