- David AWest Bridgford, United Kingdom1,075 contributionsNottingham s best cinemaWent here after a long absence and pleased to find some aspects, the toilets, the bar etc had been updated. The film theatres seem the same although I think screen 1 had new seats. The only issue was the seats were high backed so if you end up sitting behind a tall person and unable to move being short has issues.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 April 2023

We love Silver screen ,but our Broadway now does a treat of £5 a ticket on Mondays. - Tom WDerby, United Kingdom116 contributionsA lovely cinemaBroadway is a lovely cinema. Although the screens are not as immersive as alternative venues, they are good as they are combined with the nice atmosphere, comfy seats and genuine, independent eateries you won’t find at other establishments. It’s a venue that holds a sense of community and shows movies that are not always available at other cinemas. It’s also clean and staff are very polite and conscientious. There are also concessions available that are worth looking in to. The cafe and bar inside the venue are nice and, although the food is somewhat basic, it’s still good food all the same and at reasonable prices. You could happily spend a whole day in them followed by a movie. It’s also great to see a venue not dominated by chain branding and instead relies on those who care about culture, media and art. I would always recommend this venue nestled in the vibrant Hockley area.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 February 2024

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a quick bite in the Cafe Bar, the felafel and beetroot on focaccia accompanied with crispy chips was excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere of the bar was very welcoming.

I love this cinema but the staff in the cafe bar seem to be poorly trained. If you want service they avoid eye contact and prefer to chat to their colleagues. Most of them seem oblivious of whos next or worse often serve their friends or people they seem to fancy before people who have been waiting patiently. Seriously considering going across the road to the pub for a drink instead where the staff are proper bar staff. Come on management do some training!

Met a friend for a meal here and had two delicious burritos. I’d spotted the film ’Living’ was on and it dovetailed nicely into the meal. Buy a drink (alcoholic or not) to take into the cinema and you’re all set! Great place to hang out. 😊

Shared a lovely Greek Mezze before seeing a film, tasty and nicely presented. Pleasant place to sit and enjoy some food, friendly staff. There is a good varied menu on offer and prices are reasonable

We came here for a large glass of wine before going in to see the film ‘ Mrs Harris goes to Paris ‘ as part of the silver screen project where older people can see newish films at a reduced price- an absolute bargain

We were at the Broadway senior screen yesterday for the really good film Mrs Harris goes to Paris. We had a nice glass of wine in the bar & then we went to see the film upstairs.
