The price was reasonable and you could come and go as you pleased as the entrance fee covered a full day. The different glasshouses had fantastic exhibits of water lilies, cacti, banana plants etc. The gardens themselves were beautifully maintained and they had the tallest sunflowers I'd ever seen with terrific dahlias of all different colours. The botanic gardens are great! They are free, which always helps! There is plenty to see the these compact gardens in the heart of Oxford. There are several greenhouses containing tropical plants and there are views of the river. I've been on numerous occassions and it looks lovely at any season. It is a really relaxing place for a stroll... more
