I'm no gardner and don't really enjoy raising plants, but I love the Botanic Gardens in Oxford. I have gone several times and enjoy it each time, in every season. More

I have taken children on visits to the Botanic gardens, they do some fantastic workshops for children. More

This was well looked after and so it should be as we paid £4 each to go in. More

An area outside the central walled garden is being refurbished with an 'seeded garden' and promises to be excellent in time. The planting in the walled garden was as good as one would expect. More

This garden was excellent. It was very well looked after, and bounded by the river on one side. The medicinal herb gardens were very interesting, and contained a large number of plants, very well signed. The glasshouses contained amazing water lilies. Lovely to watch the punts on the river whilst walking around the garden . More

The garden was free, probably as it was January. Glorious snowdrops in banks along the flower bed. Beautiful hot houses, nice to linger in out of the chill. Most of all a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity- Oxford's secret garden, well worth a visit. More

The gardens were just showing some snowdrops, but the greenhouses were very interesting. The tropical plants were astounding. More

Whatever I learnt about gardening came from this garden with the geographic beds and the family beds. Sadly some of the 'botanical' aspects of the gardens have now been lost to get more 'interactive visitor friendly' displays. This is a great loss for a true 'botanical garden'. More

Not the most exciting place in the colder months... But absolutely stunning in the spring or summer! Wonderful to walk around and relax under Tolkein's tree for hours.. Very calm and tranquil place. More
