We set up a event and built in what was required. Jacqui handles the communication with no fuss and all planned in including two people who could not make pork pies. The day duly came and everyone loved the setting and warm welcome received with refreshments and biscuits laid on whilst final setup was been done. 11 of us split into 2 teams making components needed for the pies and individually we be making 2 pies each hand raised and a press one. Jacqui clearly explained methods and why this was preferred or not. With pies in the oven we had a delightful lunch, before embarking on a bake off style challenge making scones with only the ingredients to hand. These were made and cooked. Finally the pies were judged and star bakers awarded. Timings were spot on as the team were from all different areas to travel back. Thanks Jacqui thoroughly enjoyed the day out to a beautiful part of the country.Visited September 2023Travelled on businessWritten 18 September 2023
- jonny s3 contributionsClassic Pies and PuddingI really loved doing the Classic Pies and Pudding course! It was great to get stuck into baking in Jacqui's kitchen. Took away some lovely pies, some new skills and some great memories. Baked a stunning apple pie just like my nannan used to make. Chicken and Leek pies were very tasty and I'm trying them again this weekend. And the Pear, Pecan and Caramel Crumble will be my go to pudding for some time!!! A stunner which I'm sure my family will love! 4 hours very well spent and I will definitely be doing more of Jacqui's courses in future.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 1 October 2023

I went with my son's girlfriend, but there were couples and a single person so it's suitable for all. We had a delicious lunch and came away with some delicious looking goodies which I've yet to try.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 14 December 2023
- Eyres n1 contributionBread making and sourdoughI bought the bread making and sourdough experience for my hubby for Christmas and tagged along too! So glad I did as it was a fabulous day, both Jacqui and her friend Lorraine are just lovely, the course was very informative but so relaxed and we met some really nice people too. My hubby loved it - would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different to either do yourself, share a fab day with your friend or partner, or to gift as a wonderful present.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 February 2024

Had a lovely day at Penistone Pies with Jacqui and Lorraine for my friends Hen Party. Jacqui was super helpful in organising, and gave us a very warm welcome into her beautiful home, quite a location. The Pies were amazing!

The course and meal last for a very-full four hours. I loved the whole event ; right from coming down the drive to avoiding the free-range hens on the way out. The location is lovelly , in a converted 17th century threshing barn , and the views excellent. In other words, the packaging is great . Sometimes that's a way of disguisng the content; but in this case, what Jacqui and Lorraine have put together is flawless.

This is a great experience. Jacqui is welcoming, down to earth, professional and an expert! I love cooking but have never tried hot water pastry or using gelatine before. Delighted with my pork pies and Penistone pasty. Lovely welcome and lunch too thankyou.

Either check the website or phone, all very easy to arrange, Christmas cooking, Italian (pasta), bread, pork pies and pasties, summer dining. Have fun, its all very informal.
