Entry fee is £5 which is more than reasonable. The Castle is suprisingly big, with loads of smaller rooms hidden away.Climb the steep steps up it's many Towers for some great views of Ludlow town centre and the surrounding countryside. My only quibble would be that when climbing the narrow staircase of one of the Towers parts of the steps were... More

I start by saying I love castles and visited many and Ludlow Castle is definitely one of the better preserved castles we have in England, in a lovely location with so much to explore within its large grounds to keep you interested its a must for any Castle lover, you can also explore outside the Castle walls with plenty off... Ludlow is a busy little market town with a lot of character. The castle is worth a visit as the shopping and market can be done very quickly unless you are in to pottering around places like this. For me I get bored very easily as I prefer Sloane Street London to little market towns. The Castle however has a... More

We visited on a cold, blustery day in March and took advantage of the audio tour. Unless you have a good knowledge of the history of the place you are visiting together with an active imagination, these are invaluable. There is still a lot to see at Ludlow Castle and there is access to some of the higher parts of... More

Ludlow Castle is a real treat of a ruined castle. The signs explaining the various rooms and areas are well written and laid out giving an excellent idea of how people would have lived and moved around the castle nearly 600 years ago. The tea room is also great! More

There was so much more to see and explore than expected. Managed to get to the top of the Keep by the flagpole and the views were breathtaking. Plenty of information as you go round and so much to see. The Temple Chapel was a real find. The cafe after a cold, wet day looking round the castle was lovely... More

Was OK to wander about on your own but for your £5 entry it would be nice to get more information so you can learn about the castle More
