good place to visit, try on a crinoline - you'll be amazed! Could do with a few more exhibits. Not the best costume museum I have been to but still very good. more

I went to the museum of costume expecting to see a collection of costumes from all eras - but obviously made a mistake since the majority are from the 20th century and in the main from 2007. The displays are a real mixed bag - nothing in period but by the type of clothing and really don't work. Basically they... more

Visited here May, 2006. Included in Great Britain Heritage Pass. Costumes are original, not reproduction. Very well done. Worth the time. more

This is a must see when in England. This displays a history of dress from the beginning of time and it is outstanding! You go at your own pace and are given a mobile phone to accompany you on the tour to learn about each piece and the history behind it. There is much to see and it wasn't boring.... more
