It was raining and the moat was empty for maintenance when we visited so no swans ringing the bell or pretty waterside pictures - a lovely place to be seen at it;'s best on a fine day.

It was closed when we got there and it was oh so cold, windy and rainy, but I'm glad we went.
I'm not religious by any means, but walking around the moat listening to the birds and watching the water ripple past the historic stone walls was so calming and peaceful.

What a wonderful haven for escape, tranquility, beauty and harmony all around - and excellent Chocolate Fudge cake ... the guided tour was really informative, you can stay as long as you like and it's no wonder holidays at home are so great.

will be better when all the refub is completed. disapointed as most areas were closed off for repairs. There was an entrance fee which was expensive for what was on offer.

Beautiful and peaceful. We return several times in the year

It is easy to get lost in time here when wandering around and discovering what is around the next corner, and then the...

This cafe is in an amazing setting and full of lots of home baked goodies - you have...
