It is awe inspiring and well worth a visit but they ask £6 per person entrance and £3 to take photos. More

Serene and lots to see. Donations requested but not in your face. A good start to looking at good old England of which Wells is a prime site. More

This is a stunning cathedral - with the most beautiful elegant gothic Nave. Set in the UK's smallest city which is only a little larger than a village - the setting is indescribable - so peaceful. More

We visited Wells Cathedral on the 17th May 2012, and must say this is one of the best Cathedrals we have ever visited, Take your time looking around we were in the Cathedral nearly two hours, and a must is to see the clock striking on the quarter hours, and watching the knights jousting. This place seems vibrant - no doubt because it has daily services and a choir, so isn't a 'fossil' like some place. Very beautiful and interesting. In fact that vibrancy seems to permeate the whole of Wells. Left feeling uplifted. More

the cathedral is full of history and character.the clock is amazing and the stone work is beautiful.the resturant is also very good and the gift shop has one or two nice things.if poss try and be there when a service is being held such as midday prayers then you really sense the magic More
