With a great mix of beautiful buildings, interesting machinery and a nice area around the site - it can be a great and inexpensive day out. Equally as good for the young and old - worth a visit. More

a fastinating collection of industrial buildings,with many working exhibits,look for steaming weekends on web site,under threat of cclosure due to cut backs,will we never learn that life is about more than buying THINGS would deff.go back More

This unusual small museum provides a plethora of child-friendly activities which kept our 3- and 5-yr-old entertained all afternoon. We were offered a 'toolbox challenge' (free with the very reasonable price of admission): this consists of a quiz sheet and a boxful of tools to conduct very well-designed hands-on activities around the museum. I visited again yesterday for the first weekend of the month steaming. This museum really is a working museum when in steam.
