We had an excellent tour of the factory, watching how Emma Bridgewater's products are made - things are done the old fashioned way - potters forming the products out of clay, artists stenciling and sponging designs on the cups, bowls, etc. Some of the equipment is from the 1950s and we were told that raw materials are sourced within fifty... Had a wonderful visit here with family and kids, plenty to do with painting plates, stops them running around the shop and the feeling that most of it will end up on the floor! Bought some wonderful items from the shop (and factory shop), so great for adults too! Congratulations to the factory on carrying on a great tradtion and... More

This café looks and feels great and inviting. The decoration is considered with a vintage twist. Some up-cycling in the displays using broken old backstamps. The cake is gorgeous (I had red velvet cake) and the coffee was OK (but very cheap at £1.70 per cup). Of course, it was served in Emma Bridgewater ware, which is a treat. Can't... More

It was a kids delight to paint and receive their own hand painted plate, which they by the way eat off. Staff helpful and will certainly do a return trip with other two grand kids. I was amazed at the results the initial paintwork by my grandson looked bit iffy but when the final product was handed over it was truly... More

We visited on a sunny Thursday afternoon in March, as we were on our way to Alton Towers for the weekend. We planned to visit as it was about 30 mins drive away from the theme park, and I have always wanted to visit. The parking and sign posts into the car park do need improving, as there are huge... Was not impressed with Factory. The Pottery is very over priced (even in the seconds shop) and the patterns used are very bland. More

Lovely staff. Lovely product. Well worth a visit.. Very informal and pleasant atmosphere. Ideal place to try your artistic skills and paint a plate. Very child friendly. Restaurant worth a visit too. Very modern products but good old fashioned service and friendliness. Highly recommended More

This so called "family friendly" attraction has the rudest staff. My children were told to "pipe down" When I complained, they said I was a bad parent. I am disgusted as we spent over £40. More
