I wish we had visited on a lovely day, it was raining so we were fairly restricted to indoor views. The guildhall is a lovely preserved building, unfortunately the celler was flooded so we couldn't see that but an interesting museum upstairs whiled away some time. More

Its value is its history. The village is not a place for fascinating nature scenes or majestic, towering walls or pillars, but was said to be a place said to be almost unchanged since the medieval times. An excellent place to while away a couple of hours on a rainy day, made far more enjoyable by the fabulous cream teas served in the beamed tea rooms which overlooked the market cross and square. All at very good value . I particularly recommend the cheese and rosemary scones and clotted cream, a real treat. More

Not a huge lot to see in the building itself, but contains an interesting exhibition of Lavenham history. More

Timeline in the cellar is good, good displays. and the gardens were nice. The building is bigger than it looks. More
