We took bus #72 from hammersmith and got off near queen mary hospital then walked 10-15 mins to roehampton gate. The bike hire is near there. They hire baby chairs as well and my kid loved the ride to the lake, feeding ducks and then picnic in the park. Didnt spot any deers this time thou. More

If you're visiting London and need a break from the city, take a short trip to the amazing Richmond Park. The enormous park, part of the Royal Parks system, is a short commute from central London, accessible by train, bus or taxi. The park has hiking, walking and biking trails, with a convenient bike rental facility at the Roehampton Gate.... More

Richmond Park is great to visit all year round. Offering free parking at a range of car parks each with very clean washrooms, it's also good value and family friendly! Wide and well maintained paths are perfect for walking, running , cycling, wheelchairs or buggies. Alternatively, there's plenty of pleaces to wander to, take in the stunning range of deer,... More

Richmond Park is a wonderful place to see. I was amazred at all the tame deer by the roadside as we drove through the park. Don't miss the protected view of St Paul's Cathedral 10 miles away as you view the sight from the top of King Henry VIII's Mound. More

I regularly walk in the park and it doesn't matter which gate you go in there is always something to see. The views from just inside Richmond Gate are over London and from Pembroke Lodge you can see St Paul's, this is a protected view and nothing can be built to obscure the view. Pen Ponds are wonderful and full... More

Beautiful large park very close to central London. Big enough and wild enough to almost forget the city/ Isabella Plantation is a gem, especially in late spring - and virtually unknown. More

Always fab what ever the weather. This London Park is outstanding and far away from the madding crowds. Today was no exception and after a wonderful romp through the wild grass lands up to the woods behind the Roayal Ballet School we made a leisurely descent to the Coffee caravan which is a permanenet feature, opens at 9.30am everyday and...
