Lovely theatre, shame about the play
Although the theatre itself was fine, we were disappointed in the performance (despite a great cast), Mrs Warren's Profession. It just seemed so forced. Caroline Quentin carried the show but if we hadn't been with lots of friends we might have left at the interval, sadly

    Small Friendly Theatre
Would be a 5 star review had it not been for my very uncomfortable seat - a very firm ridge pressing against my coccyx. Our seats were the first row of the balcony with plenty of legroom but I did notice the knees of the man sitting behind my husband were almost around said hubby's ears! The good bits are: Easy to park - 2 minute walk and only £1.50 after 6pm. Small venue. Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced bar. Didn't use the facilities so can't comment on those.

    Fantastic play
Visited The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre last Saturday to see Sunday in the park with George by Quick Fantastic. What a wonderful play...the theatre itself is quite small and very intimate which makes the experience more intense. Highly recommended to anyone.

Cinderella 2023 in Guildford was a real fun panto
Cinderella turned out to be a very fun and good performance that every age enjoyed, including teen boys and I recommend. The first time was nothing to talk about, but as soon as the curtain raised for the second time…it was fun and engaging with spectators non stop till the very end, as best panto are, bringing laughter and joy. Button, the sisters, the bad stepmom and the dancers … were all brilliant. The theater is clean and simple with evening stress free parking next door. A to do Christmas panto.

    Great night out
We visit the every year to watch the panto, this one Cinderella was in our opinion the best one so far. The theatre is very cosy and you feel connected to the stage. Easy to park on the car park a very short walk away. More on Cinderella, wow it was incredible, Lucy Benjamin was outstanding, brilliant actress and player her role superb. Buttons was equally as good as were the ugly sisters. If you have tickets you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for our shout out PG 🙌 Jamie, Amy, Mya,Dario and Inez

    Bonnie and Clyde - brilliant
An evening out with my two grown up daughters and a friend to watch Bonnie & Clyde. Agreed by all probably the best musical we have seen (and we’ve seen many) thoroughly recommend it, great cast, acting and singing and brilliant portrayal of a true story with many amusing moments. Also loved Yvonne Arnaud theatre relatively small but so friendly and great seating all (we think) with great views. Will definitely be looking out for more shows any YA

Went to see Cinderella it was excellent the Ugly Sisters were brilliant & we enjoyed the special effects & music samples in the 2nd act.

The 12 days of Christmas was very well done.

Had a snack pre show, the food & customer service was very good & they cater for all dietary requirements

I’m not sure whether the theatre has car parking facilities for patrons as we came using public transport.

There is a lift up to the circle area & there are step free seats as you enter.

This is a wonderful smallish theatre, which surprisingly for the affluent area, is the only one of its kind. The theatre is modern in design (1950s and 1960s) in an enviable position on the banks of the river, of which it takes full advantage. It has a large entrance area with a bistro-type food offering. The auditorium is reached by steep flights of stairs nd the seats are pitched steeply. The seats themselves ar quite small and narrow and the leg room is limited. But that did not spoil oir enjoyment in anyway. I do understand however, that the theatre is rightly keen to make significant alterations to make the building much more accessible for a variety of purposes.

We saw "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" which was a delight and a real feel-good production.

Very lovely old theatre at the bottom of Guildford next to the river.

Beautiful river views from the terrace.

The seats are very comfortable and a good view is available from the upper circle. I went to see a play called The way old friends do and it was very entertaining.

The Drinks were expensive but that's usual for theatres. Definitely recommend pre-ordering interval drinks as only a 20 minute break.
