I came here a few months ago with my dad and 4 year old brother specifically because there was a Wallace and Gromit exhibit on. Having been to the Life centre a few years ago with my dad I was slightly sceptical as I remember there not being much to do and me not being totally interested in what was... More

We travelled from Yorkshire to Newcastle specifically to visit the Life Science Centre, having been 3 years since our last visit. Must admit, I looked on Trip Advisor the day before and was a little concerned by the negative reviews, but our experience was the total opposite. We visited with our 5yr old, 18 month old and their grandparents and... More

Had a great day with niece and nephews (twin 7 year olds, a 6 year old and a 1 year old). Something for each of them! I also learned things I never knew whilst 'playing'. Great value too with the full day for 2 adults and 4 children coming in a £13. More

If you are planning a thrilling and value for money experience,my advice would be,GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!. This place is a vast indoor space, covered in dust and with little to do and see inside. The staff are bored and a bit grumpy, the toilets are grubby, the cafe is overpriced and the displays must have been sourced using a budget of not more than... Went on a last minute whim on a rainy bank holiday and we were very impressed. Kids were riveted from the moment we came through the turnstiles. There is a lot crammed into the world/prehistory area at the entrance, interesting for all of us, and robust enough for children to really get involved. They loved making up their own cave... More

We went to Life with our five year old today. Most of the exhibitions were way over his head and the area designed for younger children was dire - it looked as if someone had half-heartedly refurbished an empty area on a £50 budget. The 4D ocean simulator was actually 2D - not even any 3D glasses. This was our... More

Thank you for taking the time to tell us what you think about Life; all feedback is useful. I’m sorry you were disappointed with the under 7s’ area. This area has been specially designed to stimulate learning through play, which has proved very popular since it launched last year. Additional temporary activity tables are laid on during busy periods. This... More

I was very disappointed when I visited, staff looked bored, the place looked tired and some of the interactive activities were not working, I had visited with my friend's 8 year old son who said at the end 'it was OK but a little bit boring' which is sad, becuase the last time I visited (when it first opened) I...
