Iv visited this museum many times over the years. Lots for the kids to discover, and a large area for play. Its a great service and its free. Well worth a visit. More

Yes the Discovery Museum is a gem in our City and yes it is one of the FREE venues on offer...this is a great visit which is educational to the young and brings back the memories of the older amongst us. My children 2 and 4 love going here, there's plenty to do and it's free! Word of warning the cafe is expensive and the food isn't good so take your own or eat nearby at The Town Wall or somewhere similar. More

What a wonderful place to visit, its great for adults and children. Its full of local history and you can listen to actual people speak from tape about their lives many years ago. there is a wealth of really fantastic exibits and some interesting exhibitions even for non techies. obvious attraction is the Turbinia first steam turbine which is suprisingly small and thin. Great presentation and its free to enter More

This museum has some excellent galleries, especially for children, showing the history of Newcastle, the Tyne and local entertainment. It is free and very central. More
