The Millenium bridge opens at 12noon all through the summer. There's a cafe at The Baltic and all the pubs serve coffee. Views of the Sage fantastic. And there are the bridges- nowhere else has such a fantastic variety and number. Check out the Guildhall and Bessie Surtees house- brilliantly preserved buildings! Great architecture and history. There is a sense of belonging when you walk along the quay side and a sense of greta industrial history. More

Plenty of restaurants, great views from The Baltic Centre Viewing platform. Seeing the Millenium Bridge lifting for river traffic and how pretty it looks lit up at night. Lovely to walk right along the quayside, great Sunday market here too. Brilliant bus service on both sides of Quays to town centre and elsewhere with terrific value £2 day ticket. More
