Although I live only about 15 miles from Mary Ardens', I hadn't visited at all until a few months ago. since then I've been 3 times! It's a working Tudor farm with animals kept as they would have been in Shakespeare's day. The guides are dressed as they would have been then and live exactly as they would have done... more
We carried on on the tourist bus from Anne Hathaways cottage to the village of Wilmcote. First to see are the farm-yards - highlights were the horse-powered cider-mill and the huge dovecote with 650 nesting holes. I went to visit Mary Arden's House with my school as part of my G.C.S.E study. I thouroughly enjoyed the day and I found it extremely educational. I learned a lot. The guides where helpful and informal. I really enjoyed the Day! more
