We were told about a free parking lot just outside of Stratford. It is about a 25 minute walk into town along River Avon. So many nice homes line the river, and we enjoyed seeing all the water fowl. More

We went for a boat trip down the river, (the one near the Holiday Inn). This was my 3rd trip. It`s a lovely way to see the hidden bits of Stratford...the millionaires houses are something else! I would definately recommend it. More

Both riverbanks are fantastic. It´s a really pleasant area to walk and anjoy the landscape, full of pubs and restaurants if you want to eat something. There is also possible to hire a boat and have a small trip in the river. More

We were one of the last boats able to travel up to the Avon before flood water closed the river to navigation. The river is beautiful and well worth visiting, as is Bancroft Basin, where traditional narrowboats moor. Watch as the narrowboat's crew demonstrate their skill, or lack of it as they enter the basin and reverse into the moorings.... More

The heavy rains had left the Avon quite high but we still attempted a walk along the riverside path. It is a beautiful river and we enjoyed our walk despite having to move onto the Green way path after about a mile. More
