    Medieval Mayhem!
Spent a great Saturday here in March, it was slightly out of season so the trebuchet and archery attractions were not on, but still plenty to do in the impressive grounds of the castle. It is a tad pricy so bring your own food but there’s also plenty to do without spending more than the admission fee - scaling the walls, zogs playground for the little kids, birds of prey shows and a couple of cast members wandering around in knight / princess costumes for some photo opportunities. Has a Westworld vibe about the place, just needed a few maniacal robots and Yul Brynner and you’d have an awesome experience!
Hi Daugtanion, Thank you for the feedback! Our pricing reflects the cost of upkeep and maintenance of the Castle, the grounds and the gardens. But we're glad that you enjoyed all the entertainment and attractions on site. We hope to see you again soon!

A fun day out for all the family
Went on good Friday, booking system was easy and had emailed tickets. Arrived and parked in the big field. A bit of a walk around to the entrance but no hassle. Once in we did the dungeon then had breakfast (it was a long drive there). Then started to do the rest of the castle and the timed events (falconry display / Trebuchet demo). I was surprised we spend the whole day there (10am - 5pm)/ Take a picnic blanket and enjoy the shows or the open spaces. The rooms are excellent and kitted out for the 1920's and the parties they had there. My daughter loved the princess room and meeting Zog. Had lunch at the orangery, photographed the peacocks. Walked the battlements and watched the time video (very good). An excellent day out !
Hi tripploso, Thank you for visiting and reviewing us 5 stars! Its lovely to hear that your daughter had an excellent time meeting the Princesses & Zog. We're glad that you had a easy booking process and enjoyed all the shows and attractions that the Castle has to offer! We hope to see you very soon!

    Mega birds and dungeon tour
The bird show was out of this world the handlers and their magnificent birds were shown spectacularly in a beautiful setting by the river, we loved the ginormous condor, wow. The experience in the dungeon was well paying the extra for fun and terrifying. Thank you
Hi Rita, Thankyou for taking your time to give us a review and visiting. Its much appreciated. Its wonderful to hear that you loved the bird show and the dungeon experience, we will let the team know ! Thank you, Warwick Castle

    Superb Day Out....but!
Firstly we would like to say that we had a fantastic day out. Its very well organised, loads to see and do and the Falconry Display was jaw dropping. The Castle is stunning and steeped in History, seriously, we had great day. I would have given it 5 stars but sadly there is a sting in the tail mind as the price is quite high. To Warwick Castle, I would say be careful that this doesn't become a common statement from visitors. £32 per person from age 4 upwards is very high AND extra for parking (£6). I would say to drop the price slightly or at least scrap the parking fee. Its such a great day out but there is a risk here of it being spoilt by 'spending a fortune' as once you are in, you still end up paying more (Archery £6 for firing 6 arrows). Also , be careful it doesn't become too 'Tacky', (Coke vending machines, expensive plastic tat in the gift shop, coin press machines.....really?). Once again, it was a brilliant day out but please Warwick Castle, becareful you don't ruin something that's amazing simply on the high cost.
Hi janeaX3460NI, Thank you so much for visiting! We really appreciate the feedback. We're glad to hear you had a great time exploring everything the Castle has to offer and immersing yourself in our history. We work hard to combine our rich and vibrant history with entertainment to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for people of all ages, and only charge extra for attractions that may not appeal to all guests to ensure the best entrance fee. Our pricing reflects the cost of upkeep and maintenance of the Castle, the grounds and the gardens. We hope to see you again very soon!

    Superb day out.
Surprised by the size. There is so much to do and see. All round the grounds of the castle are different side events. Access to the buildings and the views were brilliant. The Birds of Prey and Knights jousting were not to miss attractions. Being unable to walk long distances was hampering and immobility meant some parts of the castle were inaccessible. Plenty of places available to buy food and drink. Would thoroughly recommend, children will love it. It takes a whole day so get there early.
Hi Ipohboymartin, Thank you so much for visiting, we're glad you had a great time exploring the Castle and enjoyed the beautiful views. It's great to hear how much you enjoyed the Birds of Prey show and our Food and Beverage units. We try our best to make the Castle grounds as accessible as possible, so we really appreciate your feedback and will take this on board, for further information/queries regarding accessibility please visit: https://www.warwick-castle.com/plan-your-day/resort-information/accessibility/ We hope to see you again soon!

A "real" castle, built as a fortification, yet used as the home of the Duke of Warwick.
Warwick castle is a "real" castle, built as a fortification. Yet, it was used as the home of the Duke of Warwick. It has rooms of fine furniture, portraits, armor and shows the grand life style of the inhabitant. But, you can climb to the original moot/bailey and appreciate its defensive position. This is a well maintained structure that is well worth the visit.
Good morning. Many thanks for leaving a five star review regarding your visit to Warwick Castle. We're pleased you found the time to visit the original mound and also the Royal Weekend Party, State Rooms, The Great Hall and the Kingmaker exhibition. We very much hope to welcome you back to Warwick Castle again in the future!

    Must visit if with children
A must see site especially if you have children. There is so much to see, War of the Roses, archery, birds of prey, etc. And, the castle tour itself is super. Avoid climbing the long walls and towers if you have issues with closed in places.

Zero customer service skills from security
Attended Gwen Stefani concert last night, first visit to an open air concert it was such a lovely setting and the artist was fantastic. Towards the end of the evening a fight broke out just in front of us so instead of letting it escalate and spill over into my personal space as security just stood watching, I spoke to one of the parties involved to calm the situation. My husband complained to security advising we'd stopped a fight (the one they stood watching) security's sarcastic remark was "oh well done". This was from security on the barrier of the Gold circle, stage right. Feeling this reply was totally unacceptable, on the way out of the ground I saw another member of staff and I asked "are you response?" His reply was "yes I am some kind of person" so yet another sarcastic comment. There wasn't much security around during the event, anything could have happened and it would have been too late. Compact Security need some customer service skills. Venue fantastic, artist fantastic, security appalling.

A cackling dark jester made it so much fun
Had a great time at Warwick Castle, we were staying in the Peacock Suite in the castle so had access to Castle for 3 days, lots to do and see. Absolutely loved the falconry display down by the river, we saw it twice with different shows, the trebuchet show was ok, but didnt thrill me like the falcolnry. Walking around the ramparts and up the towers was great some fantastic views, thoroughly enjoyed the Time Tower with the moving heads in the pictures, which shows what could be done with the Kingmaker exhibition, which is looking a bit jaded and outdated, it needs hologram faces talking to you and just needs jazzing up, I was a bit disappointed with this, we are big fans of the War of the Roses period and this was a bit of a let down. Another highlight of the Castle was the Dungeon, we were lucky that our black clad jester was superb, he cacled maniacally at us, screaming at us about our "talkie boxes" (thats your phone for anyone who is puzzled), and just generally being scarily entertaining. I enjoyed walks down by the river, the Avon is gorgeous and the Mill House with its electrical equipment is very interesting (I know i'm an electrical/engineering nerd I can't help it). Staff we spoke to were helpful and pleasant and the grounds are very well kept, and we look forward to returning
Thankyou for the wonderful review ! We are glad you were able to have a lovely experience at Warwick castle and that you enjoyed all our views. Our Falconers show is our most prized show, so its lovely to hear you enjoyed as much as we do. Thankyou for the feedback, about the Legend of The Trebuchet show. Thankyou for all the positive comments, regarding our towers and ramparts. I will pass on your feedback about the kingmaker to the department and see what we can implement to make it a more enjoyable experience. I will pass on the amazing feedback about the Jester and the general dungeon experience to the Castle dungeon team. Hope too see you soon!

    A nice family day out
We recently visited Warwick Castle with our twin 3 year old boys and 2 year old daughter. We were looking forward to taking them due to the Zog events that are currently taking place & they had such an amazing time. The Zog life show is fantastic and it was lovely to see all the children enjoying the show so much. We also took the chance to meet Zog and again the babies were thrilled. We also managed to take in some of the other shows that we’re running and they were brilliant. The actors deserve a huge pat on the back for the effort they put in to entertaining everyone and they play such a huge part in making the day more fun. The War of the Roses show is really good, my son particularly liked this one. Unfortunately we weren’t able to go into the castle itself as it wasn’t something our young children would have enjoyed but we will return and visit the castle next time. We also didn’t get chance to take part in the Horrible History maze as they don’t allow buggies in the maze which is fine but the children were very tired at this point so we decided against it. The only slight disappointment I have is the Zog Playground. It is very interesting but I found the children lost interest very quickly and we were probably only on the playground for ten minutes. I do feel that the prices for entry to the park are on the more expensive side and I feel that paying the same price for a 3 year old as you do for an adult is a little bit much but it certainly didn’t stop us from enjoying the day. Overall it really was a thoroughly enjoyable day and the family will definitely go back again soon. Finally a big shout out again to the historical actors, they played the roles really well and were fantastic at engaging with all the children!

Great, very well kept castle and grounds, the exhibits are very good and the figures are very life-like.
There are a couple of cafes and a falconry display. There are lots of very grand rooms to look around, also the walls, towers and gardens to explore. Plenty of steps to keep you fit.
It is easy to spend four hours or more here.
More friendly and relaxed than Windsor Castle.

The views were spectacular. We took the whole day looking around the castle and seeing the scenery and even had time to see a few of the events. The birds of prey was amazing. As was the archery, the older gentleman hosting it was a real entertaining character, full of interesting information and fun moments. Not a bad shooter either. Gold point.

Only having paid £6 for parking did we find out dogs are not allowed anywhere, even on lead in the grounds. The guy at the ticket office was at least apologetic.

We are very sad to hear that you were not able to enjoy Warwick Castle due to our no Dog policy. The reason for this is because of our incredibly beautiful peacocks who in fact live and roam onsite. Our policy regarding dogs is all on our website, so guests are able to research their visit and plan before their arrival.

Lots to do and always adding bits. Lots of stairs and not able to go in dungeon - I think we ticked all of the cautions apart from pregnancy. Staff friendly and some in costume. Not sure how much free from is available in the cafe, not much for breakfast. We parked in stables car park (£10) right next to entrance so save energy for walking round.

We visited between Christmas and New Year to see the lights trail and also the decorations within the castle. The light trail was amazing, it was much longer than many others, but we had visited, and it was very imaginative. We also really enjoyed watching the iceskating and eating from the festive food stands. We have visited the castle before and have always enjoyed it. We have never been at Christmas and thought that the decorations were lovely, but the problem was that so many people were packed inside, but it was very difficult to read the narrative, as you always felt like you were being pushed through to the next room. I really missed the audio guide that had been available during previous visits. The kingmaker exhibition was as good as always, and we enjoyed the café and shop. We had to leave the Warwick dungeon as my daughter was quite scared but the staff are amazing. We all really enjoyed the horrible history maze and felt but it was a brilliant new addition.

After seeing some of the comments on here, we thought the day may be a little bit rubbish with the castle just being a tourist attraction for little kids. However, we as a 30 year old couple were pleasantly surprised! If you go you must go into the forecourt of the castle and look at the free tours. The tour guides were 10/10, confident, knowledgeable , engaging... and they ensure that you get the history that you need from the day. I would suggest doing the full history tour as the first thing when you get there... then you can look at everything with different eyes and almost get more from the day. I would suggest doing 2 or 3 of these 30 minute free tours. The bird show was actually really entertaining and interesting with falcons diving down from up high and some glorious birds on show. We also went to have an afternoon tea but realised we could just get a panni, scones and tea/cream and a pot of tea each for half the price so we would reccomend just doing that. We did the kids maze and had a laugh. A great place with the history you just have to engage even with lots of kids around and not be snobby about that.

We visited here with 2 little ones (4 and 8) during February half term. We expected it to be busy as it was half term, but it wasn't too bad. We were told the car park was flooded when we arrived, so were directed to another car park on the other side fo the castle. We had to pay for this parking, whereas the parking at the castle was included in our Merlin pass. A little frustrating but not the end of the world. The weather forecast for the day was quite cold and rainy, however it wasn't too wet or cold. This may have helped keep the crowds away. Our kids enjoyed the play area (this wasn't there when we last went 2 or 3 years ago). The staff were pleasant and helpful. Those that were in theme/costume were good and engaging visitors and getting children involved. They are currently building a hotel on the car park. Hopefully they will extend the car park somehow as it wont leave a lot of room to park after the hotel is completed.

OMG this was so amazing, huge and so well presented. The models in period costumes were so life like, you expected them to turn and speak to you. Loved how the rooms were presented. Especially loved Henry VIII and his 6 wives display. It was easy to walk around and take in the full grandeur of the site. Cost was reasonable.
