Recently I visited the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham with two classes of Year One children. The actual fish attractions were very interesting and well displayed and our guide seemed genuinely enthusiastic about his workplace...and even managed to handle a tricky 'lift' phobia calmly... At lunch time we choose to eat outside as it was a nice day and... More

Been there few times with family, and its always entertaining. The lighting needs to improve and there should be a reasonable access/path for wheel chair users.

After finding a voucher for buy 1 get 1 free ( no way were we going to pay over £19 each) we decided to go to this sea life centre. It was a Sunday around 11 and we went straight in with no wait. I was impressed with the tanks and the turtle / shark tunnel. The 4d spongebob film... More

Paid a visit to here after seeing on the NUS site there is a discount for 40%, on arrival was told infact there isn't and full price would have to be paid, also having 2 other adults & 2 children with us, plus car parking it came over £60 which I think is expensive for a day out The centre... More

I don't think the place can justify it's full adult £19.20 asking price. Fortunately we had printed off a 2 for 1 National Rail voucher, not that our tickets wee checked by the staff on reception. The aquarium itself is surprisingly large - from the entrance it looks quite small, but we spent an hour and three quarters in there.... More

We recently visited the Sea Life Centre and enjoyed our day. The Sea Life Centre is a fun day out with lots of displays for everybody to enjoy. I recommend going on a week day - we did and it was great! quiet without a queue in sight. We had a 2 for 1 voucher, however I can imagine it... More

Took my young daughter, as she is 'fish mad', on a Friday midday, attracted by the NUS Extra card's offer of 40% off, advertised on the website. On arriving, though, I was informed that they do not honour this, despite it being a newish offer on the NUS website...not sure who's at fault, NUS or Sea Life, but it meant... More

We met with friends and our 4 year old Goddaughter for a day here. She was very excited and really enjoyed herself. I was glad we had bought tickets on line although this was a bit misleading and we ended up paying more than the advertised tenner. Felt a but cheated on that one. The staff were all friendly and... Five of us visited yesterday as a birthday treat for our Daughter. We looked at the website a few days before visiting, and found the online booking prices very inconsistent and confusing - different prices for different time of day, not the £10 per person it initially appears. We had two '2 for 1' vouchers, and the fifth person was classed... What a lovely visit, shame we followed a school trip around. It did spoil a lot of the visit as my children could not get to see things and it was very noisy. Might be best to enquire if there are school visits planned or go in the holidays.
