We took our grandson here for a visit, it was very busy and it was raining as we waited outside in a queue, there was a man handing out rain covers to those who had not expected the rain or queue. When you pay the day charge take up the offer for the annual pass, for £2 more each you... more

We went here for a day out in April. Its £15 a person which I thought was expensive. It started well and all the tanks are really good and we loved the 4D video. However we had been around the whole place in about 1 hour. We went out for lunch and then came back and had another look for... more

I've been once before to the sea life centre in Summer 2005, and I remembered that it was quite enjoyable but couldn't quite put my finger on why I wasn't blown away. So this weekend I went again, thinking that 4 years on it may have changed quite a lot. It cost a little over 30 pounds for me and... more

The tour was enjoyable and educational for my kids (12 and 10), but I thought quite expensive (although you could leave and come back again and enter for free later on in the day - OK if you want to go out for lunch, but not much else in the nearby areas). Feeding of the turtles was interesting, but crowded... more

Queue to enter was 45 minutes long on a weekday in the middle of August. Entertaining a toddler while queueing for that length of time is nigh impossible. Realizing that tickets prebooked on the web are simply glanced at by staff makes it even more infuriating - would it not be possible to dedicate one lane to prebookings and get... more

I found the price rather steep for what you get. All the web information states 16.50 GBP for adult entry but I was charged 16.95. There are plenty of deals to get discounts/ pre-booked tickets if you go. I went on a Bank Holiday Monday and had to queue for some twenty minutes to get in - the route is... more

Getting In: Car parking is only in the form of a multistorey carpark - which is a pay and display - and doesn't take notes or £2 coins. A 4 hr stay is £4 (at the time of writing this in March 2008). First of all if you're planning on visiting during a public holiday (as we did on Easter... more

Have just returned from an amazing visit. I wanted to visit but had no reviews to read and as there is a generic website for all of the Sea Life Centres across the world there is very little information available. A web browse is recommended. All that said, the centre is very well set out and there are plenty of... more

I have visited various Sea Life type of establishments in other countries. The USA's are by far the best. Improvements to Birmingham's could be by greater attempts at informing non-English speaking visitors about the attractions. There were no explanations next to the various tanks in anything other than English. I did hear one comentary in German, which is promising, but... more
