I visited the old iron bridge as a day out a couple of weeks ago and i would highly recommend visiting the area. Not only is the scenary beautiful, theres so much to do and a lot of history to learn. Ironbridge is in a beautiful setting with historical interest at the Ironbridge museum and within easy reach of the beautiful Shropshire countrtyside and other places of interest such as Ludlow and Shrewsbury. A lovely area. More

Not only is this the first suspension bridge in UK, Europe probably in the world, but great views of river & valley. Few nice cafes & pubs on the riverside too. More

My friend took us to this place, when visited him in Telford. The bridge is still in good condition. it offers good view of the river. More than the bridge and the history, I liked that area very much. Small hotels and restaurants etc. If you are in and around Birmingham, it is advisable to visit this area. More

We have visited Ironbridge several times in the past because we really like the area. However, this time many of the old antique shops selling Coalport china, and the quirky 'left-handed shop' were missing, and browsing/buying was not so interesting.
