About
Uncover a world of chocolate delights and enjoy a fascinating, fun-packed day out at Cadbury World. From learning how your favourite confectionery is made and uncovering the fascinating story of Cadbury chocolate, to playing in chocolate rain and adding your favourite treat to a delicious pot of warm liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk. You'll discover the origins of the cocoa bean amidst trees and waterfalls in the Aztec Jungle, before jumping on board the magical Cadabra ride and visiting the brand new 4D Chocolate Adventure zone, a 4D cinema experience featuring Cadbury's most popular characters. Cadbury World is located in the grounds of the original Cadbury factory, but isn't a tour of the factory itself. Fun visit, shame about the cafe.
Tour was pretty good. Lots to keep the kids entertained. Would have like to have learned more about the process though. Final section felt unfinished Play area and 4d cinema was fun. Then decided to have a hot chocolate and coffee. Wasn't as advertised, served in a paper cup despite more then £5 each. Horrible coffee too for £3.24 - refund demanded. Shocking state of the cafe area too.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. We'd pleased you enjoyed the tour & can only apologise for your disappointment in the cafe. I have passed your feedback on to our restaurant manager for review. We hope to be able to welcome you back to Cadbury World in the future. Best wishes

Memories made with my Amazing MAM
Very much enjoyed took my mam last year tried using my blue light discount card it wouldn't work. The 3d experience was great 👍 supported my mam out of her wheelchair to a short walk to the seats so she could appreciate the experience more wasn't disappointed at all it was great. The cafe was just as good aswell the best hot chocolate you have ever had I paid so we could have afternoon tea again it was value for money really it is. We sampled some chocolate which was nice. We were able to write on a table in chocolate which was good fun, Paid extra for our photo to be taken went on a ride all included in the price went to a gift shop we really enjoyed ourselves. Sadly my mam died late last year I'm pleased I took my mam while I could amazing memories of being at Cadbury world!!!
We're sorry to read that your Mam is no longer with us but are pleased you made some lovely memories with her at Cadbury World :)

    Great family day
So I wasn't sure what to expect with mixed reviews but we had a fantastic day. We felt we got real value for money, as we especially took our time to watch and listen to the different exhibits. Eating our chocolate on the way round, favorite bits were the chocolate pots and the kids enjoyed the Coco beans video! It was a busy Sunday so there was some queuing in parts but it was fine. We have kids 7 and 10 and I felt like it was perfect for them they really got a lot out of it. Staff were super nice and friendly.
We're delighted you had a 5 star day with us and hope to be able to welcome you back for another day choc-full of fun soon!

    Afternoon tea and tour.
Free chocolate, always a good start. We went for the afternoon tea, arrived early and had time to visit the 4D experience before. The afternoon tea was nice but I felt a bit rushed towards the end when the server brought out a doggy bag before we were halfway through. The main tour was fun, interesting and informative. Really enjoyed it.
We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your recent visit to Cadbury World. Thank you for your feedback on our afternoon tea experience, we'll ensure to pass this on to our restaurant team. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future for more chocolatey fun :)

    Lovely morning out!
I don’t understand some of the reviews below! Cadbury World is a lovely half a day out. We went on a Sunday in March and while it was busy it wasn’t mental. My recommendation is get there early and do the 4D experience which is outside the main factory tour first. Best 4D I’ve been to! That opens at 10.30 and we did that first, then we went to the main tour, which yes you have to queue for but not for too long and you get x3 bars of chocolate here (Wispa, Twirl, Dairy Milk). You then go through a rainforest/Aztec zone, then some visual shows to learn some of the history, another one to learn some of the manufacturing. You get to temper chocolate, draw and write with chocolate, go on a hilarious Cocoa Bean ride, have a little melted chocolate pot, watch staff hand decorating some of the chocolate, see the history of the advertising then the kids can do some interactive stuff before you end up in the shop. There’s is also Freddo’s Circus Show and a huge play area for little ones if the weather is decent. I only gave it 4* because there are some things that could be better: *Some of the interactive games in the Aztec exhibit are not clear as to what you need to do. *Pot of melted chocolate was TINY!!! The two fillings were more than the chocolate, you definitely used to get more *Not sure all the manufacturing stuff on the video is still what happens *Drumming gorilla wasn’t working :( and the DJ thing was on an annoying loop of the same advert over and over (eyebrow one) *Lights not working on the ‘Simon says’ interactive at the end *It would be good to see more of the actual manufacturing (you used to see the choc being wrapped and out into boxes All in all my 12 year old and I had a great morning out! *You should be able to bypass the green screen photos (we did but only after queueing for about 10 mins)
Thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World such wonderful feedback. I will certainly pass on your 'things we could do better' points to the relevant teams. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future for a 5 star experience :)

SEND support was spectacular! SEND families need not worry, their support is spot on.
I wanted to provide some feedback on our visit yesterday at 1.30pm as I think those on shift yesterday need to know... All staff were incredible!! Anyone in the entrance lobby/cafe/shop between 1 and 2pm yesterday deserves serious praise as pretty much everyone tried to help us, not one person turned us away or did anything less than their best customer service and it truly is commendable...Cadbury, your staff did you proud! My daughter sadly was not coping with the environment at all! She is autistic and went into full blown massive sensory overload. Your team saw this and their response and compassion was INCREDIBLE. They gave us access passes so we could queue separately, assistance bands so if we needed extra help from staff they were there straight away, they allowed us to go in at a slightly different time to our slot as a whole school arrived and my daughter panicked...they lent us ear defenders and offered to help us skip through the tour to the 'main' bit if that would help. Sadly after an hour of trying to calm my girl we had to just abandon and head home. This experience hasn't put us off though, we'll try again in the future! My husband and I were overwhelmed and touched by the incredible support the Cadbury staff gave us. It was a horrible experience seeing our girl struggle so much, but Cadbury were absolutely flawless and we wouldn't hesitate to try again in the *quieter* future.
I am delighted to read such wonderful feedback of our visitor services teams & will ensure to pass this on to them. We have now launched our Relaxed SEN sessions, which you can find on the Cadbury World website so if you were to book again perhaps a session like that might be of benefit to your daughter. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future :)

    Birthday treat
It was a birthday treat for my 6 year old. Having been there earlier we knew what to expect but we’re waiting to see if anything has changed in 5 years time. It’s absolutely necessary to prebook as it will be impossible to get tickets on the day. When you join the queue at your designated entry time, you get handed out loads of chocolate bars (a bit lesser than the last time that we were here). Once inside you get to experience stories about cocoa and chocolate, there are opportunities to create things with chocolate, taste it fresh and there are joyrides too. You get to spend around 1.5 hours inside and you exit via the shop. Before entering the experience via timed entry, we went to the 3D cinema outside in the fun area which also has a play area and a small theatre. We did not use the on-site cafe this time as we remembered it getting very crowded. Plenty of parking and good facilities make it a good day out for families.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. We hope your daughter had a wonderful time for her 6th birthday treat, we hope to be able to welcome you back in the future :)

    A good day
Was an ok day. If you’re interested in the history of Cadburys and how chocolate is made then that’s a good segment of it. However, there was only 1 chocolate tasting experience and the size was one small shot of chocolate. The bean ride was fun and the 4D experience was really fun. The outside play area was nice but the outdoor cabin/food shack and another 2 building closed. There aren’t any signs for the stuff that’s not actually on the main site so we had to do a bit of walking out of the main site to find the garden centre and other places. The gift shop was very good value which was nice and the staff were fantastic. I’d give it a 6/10, a bit underwhelming. I would advise going to the earliest opening slot which is 9am as when we were done but 11:15 it was absolutely rammed and queues were bad as well as no parking spaces left.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. We are sorry you were not completely satisfied with your recent visit. 5 out of 5! Incredible place to be!
Parking was very clear, and easy to locate both on entry and exit! We were gifted with complimentary chocolate on arrival (2-3 bars) and were left to start the tour at our own pace. The information provided was outstanding and with a few more free treats and entertainment you really can’t fault. Staff were constantly available to help should you need this! 5/5 for the team! Keep it up!
Thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World such wonderful feedback. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future for another 5 star experience :)

Not what I expected for price "very museum like" didn't even see chocolate made!
Not what I expected!! "NOT made in the factory VIBES" more of a museum! Not worth the price. Visited Cadbury World with my husband and 9 year old daughter the day before Easter Sunday! It cost us £50 for entry. I now feel that is definitely on the pricey side for what it is worth. I had expectations of "made in the factory" this was nothing like it. I expected chocolate been everywhere to taste and apart from the little cup and if you purchased a tote bag upon entry you received 3 single bars. It was very museum like which is interesting but too much gets boring for young ones. Restaurant was expensive and not one single Cadbury product!! Ice cream factory? Fruits and chocolate fountain? Everything was also rushed because of queuing. Glad I got to visit but wouldn't recommend. The shop was overpriced too. We did also expected an Easter egg or something for the children and nothing shame. Caburys you are certainly missing a few tricks you could be so much better.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave Cadbury World a review. We do believe the Cadbury World experience is a mixture of activities for both adults and children to enjoy. The beginning of the exhibition concentrates on the history of Cadbury and Bournville while other zones provide fun and interaction for children and little ones such as Purple Planet, our 4D Chocolate adventure and the Cadabra ride. We do advertise in all our literature that Cadbury World is not a factory tour; instead you discover the history, the making and the magic of Cadbury confectionery. At Cadbury World we strive to offer a customer experience that suits everyone so we are always happy to read your recommendations. Best wishes.

We are merlin pass holders and as its close to the grandparents nip in around three or four times. I must say for a family of 3 forking out £60 to see this this is a dire ripoff. Yes you get three chocolate bars each at begining and as we've seen most of it before we quickly walk around. Last september as a part was closed we were offered another couple of bars. This time round nothing. We were in for at most 40 mins before taking a turn and like Mr Benn found ourselves in the shop. This isnt fun for kids, it should be closed until they sort out the refurb and make what could be a great attraction for kids not like something close to willy wonka experience in Scotland that was ridiculed last month. Shut it down till its ready, its crap and taking peoples money for such a lame show is criminal.

10 of us went to cadbury world, spent a fortune but was thoroughly disappointed!! Half of the attractions were closed off including the advertisement alley, museum. Very expensive to buy drinks/food- way overpriced!! And hardly any chocolate was given out on your way around the experience!
I went 11 years ago and it was much better then!
It's all a money making con now....

Please read the reviews, this was an absolute waste of money, spent most of the time queuing, 3 chocolate bars at the beginning and tiny pot of melted chocolate half way round, run down, yes it's having a new ride built but they obv are not investing elsewhere! Disappointed children as missed the shows due to the queuing. Miserable staff and some very rude. There are plenty of other days out a thousand times better than here, just interested in making money from extortionate prices in the shop and cafe.

This is a dated tired tour that’s way overpriced where they really try to sell sell sell stuff. Exhibition probably belongs to the 1980s and is no longer modern. Crap outdoor play area. At end you get a soup spoon of melted chocolate and at start three free Cadbury bars. Not worth the price or time

An expensive rip off. At least half of the attraction was closed. It took about an hour and a half to go around of which half of that, at least, was queuing. The only good thing was the 4D cinema.

Genuinely one of the worst experience days I’ve have been on. How they can charge £60+ for a day of essentially waiting in a line, but he tour is outdated almost all of the interactive stuff didn’t work. And main attractions were closed. Avoid save your money

I understand that there is something new being built, and this is clear on the website, but there really doesn't seem to be half as much as there used to be, but what is there is still fun. Useful lift between floors and most staff very friendly ( girl in the 4D cinema not loving her job though). Website said cafe not open, so we were cross to see it was. Lots of school kids, with varying amounts of control by teachers, but only a problem in the outside areas.

We booked a post birthday treat for our chocolate mad 23 year old and were lucky to get 3 black Friday tickets. We read the reviews and weren't expecting much but we are easily pleased! The booking in staff were friendly and welcoming, as were all staff throughout our experience and very helpful. There were many interactive screens and history of Cadbury. We managed to cover everything in 2 hours, including watching chocolate being made, a lovely warm chocolate and fudge shot, and the 4D cinema, which was great fun. We especially enjoyed the car ride around various scenes. It was quite busy for a Thursday afternoon, but it didn't feel rushed. A great afternoon had by all.

Run down and tired in places. There wasn’t much there and we went round it all in 1.5 hours. There were parts that were closed but even if they had been open it would have been 2 hours at most and for £21 per adult that seems expensive. It is somewhere I won’t return to
