A small Tudor house (National Trust), with extensive gardens just to the south of Birmingham, easily accessible by road ( mind the speed cameras either side of the entrance!)and £1 to park, even if you are a National Trust card owner. The central tower/gatehouse has great views from the roof and an exhibition on the gunpowder plot - with attendant... more

a lovely old house with enchanting gardens. the walled garden is worth the extra admission fee. Supposedly a National Trust property, but members still have to pay to get in the walled garden. Cafe very average and shop not up to the normal NT standard, but these are minor irritations to anyone byut the retail obsessed All in all in... more
