This museum gives a really unusual perspective on the history of the local area. The galleries are interesting and free; you have to pay for the tour of the factory but it's a reasonable price and the tour guide was both amusing and informative. The shop is good, too, selling jewellery from mostly local craftspeople at decent prices. More

this museum used to be free to enter, but now you pay 4 gbp to enter regardless of if there is room on the tour. I assume it is worth the 4 quid to to do the tour... but just for the two floors of information about jewellery, I am not convinced. More

This museum is definitely worth a visit. The original family simply locked the doors and walked away when they closed the business many years ago. It is educational and for anyone who loves jewellery, it has a definite 'wow' factor with the old jewellery on display and the information attached to easch piece. More

I didn't expect this to be as interesting as it was. A really enjoyable afternoon. Remarkable staff who really made the visit fascinating. Our guide was so good that the group applauded him at the end of the tour. More

I went here as part of a coach trip and wasnt looking forward to it, but i really liked it, the story of the family who owned it and seeing how the men worked was very interesting, I even got a free gift! Visit the Jewlers Arms when you are there, very nice pub! More

On three floors, this museum, within walking distance of the city centre, gave one a good overview of the history of jewellery and the main components, also Birmingham's place in British history. The workshop was closed when we arrived at 1530, and as the museum closes at 1600, the staff kindly allowed us a quick visit at less than the... More

Signing to this quarter is good but it seemed to be an age getting there! Rather dull on the way- office buildings. Found street crammed full of very expensive top end jewellery- out of our price range! Didn't see any signing for museum. Would have been good. More
