For anyone who loves great music live and recorded - visit the Jam house. We had the most fabulous nightout and didn't stop dancing and chatting. The atmosphere is great - non-predatory and drinks were a reasonable price. more

On a weekend visit to Birmingham in the spring of 2009 we walked through St Pauls [sic] Square. I argued with my ever patient English teacher partner that St Pauls should in fact be “St Paul’s” and suggested we should come back at the dead of night to paint the missing apostrophe onto each of the street signs. My partner’s... more

Went to the Jam house on a hen do. We had a table booked for 9.30 but didnt get seated until 10pm and food about 10.15 which is too late to eat really. Food was good. I agree with the bouncers and security who act like they are FBI - they were a very noticeable presence strutting around making their... more

We were very nearly put off visiting altogether, having read the reviews on this site. Thank goodness we decided to go anyway! We went on a Tuesday night and suffered none of the crowding that other reviews mention. It was free to get in and there were plenty of tables available with good views of the stage. It was acoustic... more

Went here Saturday night with my husband and two friends. When we arrived at 8.45pm went straight in and sat upstairs listening to some good music. By 9.30 the whole room was packed and they were still letting people in. I agree with previous review that it totally ruined what would have been an excellent night. By the time the... more

You should take at least one trip to the Jamhouse...although be warned it could be your last. It's such a great pity that a fabulous venue with truly excellent bands should prove so popular that the population of Birmingham is literally crushed within one small venue. I visited the place on Sat 18 April 09 to see the Red Lemons... more

What a Brilliant night..We are a couple aged 50, so didn't know whether the Jamm House would be suitable for us. The music was suitable for all ages, and the DJ had everyone up dancing, including us!. Everything was spot on, from the booking in the restaurant to leaving the venue. We had a great table overlooking the stage, and... more

Made a booking for 9pm on Friday. The venue was filled with rotund middle-aged hen-party types... not initially reassuring, considering the pounding loud music that was emanating from the place. The front-of-house behaved more like the FBI unfoiling a major terrorist threat - "... do you have a booking? You can't come in without a booking! What's your name!?" Managed... more

We went here for my Dad's birthday in May. When we got there we were told we were way too early (15 min) and weren't allowed to sit down despite having booked. We waited 45min for the starter then the same again for main neither of which were worth waiting for. I think it was £28 for three courses and... more

Visited this fantastic venue in November 2007 for a girly night out. The club is owned by Jools Holland and the interior is classy. Arrived around 9.30 and paid £5.00 to get in which I thought was cheap for Birmingham. Live music started at around 10.00pm and went on well into the night. The act was a live band with... more
