The building is awful. its opposite the Museum and art gallery. Inside the library is very good, with the usual supply of books for adults and children, + music, dvds etc.
There is also an archivist section and family history floor.
Enough to meet everyones needs

Comprehensive library, great place to be. Super for doing research of all kinds. Nice for finding somewhere quiet to read a book or two.

I sat outside the new birmingham library for a while, and i am intrigued, I am not sure when I last visited a library but I am curious and can't wait to visit the new one.

This library has the quiet study time you need along with a lot of good books and resources. The look of the library is a little run down now because its been there so long BUT there is a brand new Central library being built in Birmingham replacing the old one.
