Interesting story shown by film as to how the mosaics were discovered and what the villa
would have looked like. Thought entry price was a lot. The gardens are interesting to see what the Romans would have planted and for what purpose.

We discovered this site by chance, deciding to visit when we spotted the road signs. We weren't expecting much, having visited roman ruins in the past. Indeed, when we first arrived we found what we were expecting -- a small museum overlooking some mosaics and a large garden. The introductory film helped us to see beyond the initial impressions, and...

We have been putting off going to the roman palace, thinking that a room full of old tiles was not really our thing. I had flashbacks of being dragged around the roman museums in Leicester where I grew up as a child and didn't think it would make for an exciting day out.

Who knew there were Roman Ruins dating from 45 BCE just outstide of Chichester? These are some of the earliest Roman sites in England, because the Romans landed on this coast of England first. Amazing mosaic floors, artificats and history. The museum is child-friendly and a great place to take children. Be sure to allow enough time to stroll the...

The museum is excellent, with the history of the site and a collection of finds displayed. After the museum you continue to an incredible collection of mosaic floors, located in situ as they were discovered in the 1960's, so you can imagine the room layouts of the palace, the lives of the people who lived there and the sheer scale...

I was extremely impressed with the layout and facilities, plus we were lucky enough to catch the end of an excellent tour which was very informative.
