I love coming here in Summer and seeing the meerkats and pretty birds. The creepy crawlies are fun too. I seem to visit at least twice a year after a visit to roundhay park and then to a few pubs afterwards. More

Let's start with the entrance price, £3.30 is excellent value, next don't go over dressed as some of the areas do indeed go tropical, with temps exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. It all depends what your expectations are I imagine. It's more geared for children with a lot of the windows at their height. The highlight is indeed the Meercats, with... More

I enjoy visiting Tropical World and have done for years. The entrance fee is good value for money but I found some of the attractions (creatures) cages either empty or the fish tanks very cloudy that you couldn't see what was in there. Overall I would say it needs a revamp especially a good clean. Love the Meerkats an excellent... More

Go for a walk round Roundhay park the through the formal gardens into tropical world. Kids go free and its cheap for adults and interesting without being too large. It gets hot in the desert bits so be prepared! More

A great, inexpensive way to spend a couple of hours - we visited on an unseasonally cold May day but inside Tropical World the temperature throughout is around 30C. The entry fee is extremely good value at £3.30 for adults - we took out grandson and his entry was free as he is under 5. The Butterfly House is wonderful... More

Only thing I can fault about this place is that it is a bit small, but what is there is great. So many different species it actually feels tropical! More
