i.e. character tudor (style?) building not a specially built complex. Great to have on your doorstep without 'out of town' travel. Screen big enough for me! Still part of a chain - Odeon - so not independent but quirky and comfortable. Best to book ahead if film is new or popular as they queue out the door if more than... More

Like all visits to large Cinema chains, the service levels and customer interest leave a lot to be desired. However, visiting here is worth it just because the buiding is amazing-probabaly the only listed building you will visit with a cinema. Chandeliers, wood panels and lots of old World charm. Definately worth a trip More

For an old fashioned cinema experience in a historic building this is it. Each cinema has very comfortable seating with plenty leg room and each are fairly small but quite intimate. The screen is therefore not very big but is still big enough for that "big screen" experience. The sound system is excellent. On line booking and collection of tickets... More

The Odeon was very cold a problem with the heating. The film was good but you could hear the sound from one of the other screens and this distracted from the film we were watching. More

A fascinating place in terms of being an ancient architectural building....but not great as a cinematic experience. The cinema itsself is worn out & hasn't seen any maintenance in years. Still, the staff are extremely friendly! More

A listed building is quite simply not the place for a modern day cinema but they do their best. More

On most of our visits, we have had to queue in the cold to pay, whilst there is oodles of wasted space beyond the pay desk. The worst thing is hearing soundtracks from adjacent screens - Warhouse drowning out The Artist!! More
