It gives a little background on Stonehenge, which is nice, but looking back I could have skipped it. More

I visited with my Grandaughter at half term. It was great for children lots to do and things about the Stone Age which really made an impression on her she really enjoyed this visit and talked about it to everyone afterwards. More

This museum near Salisbury Cathedral includes exhibits on local history and archaeology along with a very well-done exhibit on Stonehenge. We gained a lot of information in anthropology and archaeology. The Stonehenge Gallery was a highlight for us. The museum stores the finds from the archaeological digs in and around Stonehenge. Some worthwhile displays & interesting artefacts.....mostly the archeological and mediaeval exhibits. The ceramics & glass aren't up to much but if you're in the area it is a good place to pass a fairly interesting hour or so. More

I thought it provided a very interesting display on Stonehenge and the history of Salisbury. The costume display in the upstairs area was also worth viewing, as was the agricultural exhibition. However some of the display cases need serious updating. I visited primarily to see the Giant and Hob Nob, and they didn't disappoint. The bookshop had a great selection... More

It is ok put overpriced if you are a tourist. Most musuems like this are £2 or some even free.The children interest section is rather small and needs seem new additions. The clothes that they can try on , have seen better days and need to be in a more prominent position.The volunteers that walk around the musuem are very... More

Really interesting place and great for the kids. Does great exhibitions and combined with The Close and Salisbury Cathedral would be a good day out. More
