Tours are self guided, photography is allowed inside (which is rare). 4 of the rooms were used for filming Sense and Sensibility (the Emma Thompson version), and there is a lovely view of the Cathedral. They also have a tea room located in the garden. If you just want to stop in for tea, they charge one pound to access...

When being in Salisbury you should not miss the opportunity to see it. It is lovingly kept and shows a lot of period features.

A lovely feel to this historic house (National Trust) as soon as you enter through the front door. We were treated to a most interesting talk on the history and owners of the house by the guide in the library. Would highly recommend!
