Most people will visit the Cathedral while in Salisbury and totally overlook the Parish Church of St Thomas and St Edmund. Tucked away as it is, but well worth a visit to gaze upon the lovely stained glass windows. More

During our tour of Salisbury Cathedral, our guide told us of this church which was built for the builders of the cathedral in the early 1200s. It is a beautiful church with its famous Doomsday Mural, stained glass, and sculptures. This church is not just another historical sight though. It is a working parish church. We were there on a... Having been a difficult period in my life, I found a caring family atmosphere, and it was lovely to join in the worship of Christ. Like all effective places, most people just take, but such a place has that small band of exceptional people who give far beyond what it asked of them, and wiithout them, it would all come... More

Great church. Quiet place to reflect away from the business of the city, yet right in the heart. More

This church has the Doomsday painting on th eaves overlooking the alter. The stain glass windows and the sculptures are beautiful. Don't forget to leave a donation for the upkeep of the church and grounds. Well worth a look simply for the history if not the beauty. More

I went to Salisbury last fall, to visit the Cathedral & found this beautiful church on my way. St Thomas Becket Church built in Gothic style. It was built around 1220 as a place of worship for the mason's working in the building of the Cathedral. The first thing I noticed was the mural above the chancel arch. It is... More
