This is a great place to visit if you are in Salisbury, from the city you approach The Close through an arch which leads into a lovely grass area outside the Cathedral which is magnificent in itself. A walk around the close esp. early am. or dusk is so enjoyable. Tourist crowds are smaller and if you're lucky you will experience the calm and beauty of the area for yourself. If large crowds do the cathedral first and try to return at dusk. More
