Windsor is a lovely town to walk around and at the weekend not too much trouble finding parking close to the castle. There is a slightly labourious security and buying the tickets can take time - so book on line. Once in though, there is plenty of space to walk around and see the variety of buildings and the structure... More

This is the main attraction in Windsor so is a must. Can get very busy so buy tickets in advance if you can. A good way to spend a few hours - very interesting.

It is almost an hour of efficient travel from London. The castle is a series of buildings with the central fortress as the core. The Chapel of St-George, where the queen Mum is buried, and the State rooms have to be open to make this visit completely worthwile. Otherwise, delay your visit. Like everything else in England, it is well... More

This is the best castle and interesting collection of paintings, swords, guns, shields. Kids enjoyed the doll museum a lot. I have never seen such a courteous staff anywhere in the world. They were very kind and very supportive. You will aslo reaceive a audio guide at the entrance. Please note that the St George chapel is located inside the... More

So i have just returned from a day trip to Windsor which i live right near by but have only managed to go and see today. I am a massive history fan and love anything that shows the impressive history that Britain has...and Windsor Castle definitely does this. We took a tour with Philip and he was brilliant, knowing lots... More

Although it took a while to get through security. It was well worth it. What a beautiful place. So much to take in, and we learnt even more about our royal family. Will visit again.

By far, I believe Windsor is the best attraction in England. The Castle is gently restored, cared for and contains some incredible artwork and artifacts. Windsor contains one of the most impressive displays of guns, swords and other military equipment I've ever seen. Be prepared for a long queue unless you have a London Pass. You'll still have to queue... More

This is a must for anyone as far as i am concerned as the castle is steeped in history and speldor. From all the dining halls to vast courtyards there is at least 3 hours worth of entertainment here for people of all ages. The wing of the castle destroyed by fire in 1992 has been magnificently restored. My advice... More

Windsor Castle is a superb place to visit. We watched the changing of the guard from the outside then entered the Castle. There's lots to see and the only queue was for the Dolls house, which we nearly said "lets not bother with this". But we stayed in the queue, and its worth the look. The audio guide was very... More
