Went here with 8 week old baby and also 2 kids. My son and daughter enjoyed the castle and handed in a picture for the Queen. The baby however screamed for the entire visit ruining it for everyone unfortunate to be there at the same time. The acoustics are truly a marvel and my husband always knew exactly where to... more

We arrived in London at 7:00 a.m. on an overnight flight from the U.S. and rode about 30 minutes on a bus to to Windsor from Heathrow. A perfectly charming village. We had our luggage with us and Windsor castle has a luggage check facility--albeit on the far side of the entrance and ticket facility. Take your time and see... more

Windsor Castle was probably the highlight of our trip to England. It is without a doubt envelopes the most facinating history of England . As this was our first trip to England, we booked a day trip which combined three sites to visit. We were sorry we didn't have enough time to enjoy Windsor Castle nor the town of Windsor.... more

Don't miss this day trip! Take the train from Paddington station for an easy 30 minute trip with one connection; buy a same-day round-trip ticket from the self-service kiosk for the best value, which is cheaper than two one-way tickets. Allow 4-5 hours to enjoy the castle, including a 30-40 minute free guided tour around the complex. If you go... more

We took the train down to Windsor to see the castle on New Year's Eve of 2009. Because of our evening plans and a late start, we did not get the maximum time I would have liked to explore the castle. There are so many wonderul things to see! The walk from the train station is short, right up the... more

Just to add my comment to a couple of others - don't park in this car park - We arrived back to our car just 10 mins late - Day out with my brothers for his birthday. Wheel Clamp and £120 to get it taken off. The local council really should stop this sort of thing happening and for this... more

The town of Windsor is, in itself, worth a visit but the castle is amazing. Try to go on your own and not with a tour as it takes a full day. Easy from London Paddington to Slough, change trains for a quick run to Windsor. the history is so interesting. Don't miss St. georges Chapel and, if you have... more

Windsor was a great place to visit. Definitely check out Queen Mary's doll house and St. George's Chapel where Henry the eighth is buried with his "favorite"of his wives. This palace is off the beaten path away from the typical touristy places of London, which gives it a bit more open feel and less crowds to deal with. The state... more
