The entry fee was covered by the CADW pass we had bought. We found the castle very well maintained and easy to explore. We loved being able to climb to the top of each tower (there were many). The Conwy castle is small, and there is no guided tour- they sell a tour book, but not a great value. Do Caernofan first to get more in-depth knowledge from their reasonable guided tour (2.50). You can pass on Conwy (although the gift shop was good). More
