My husband wanted to climb Snowdon, but I was not so keen as was not sure I'd make it! We decided to take the PYG route up and the Miners Path down. I do go to the gym, but would consider myself only of average fitness. To me it was not easy, in fact probably harder than I thought. Had... More

If you have any disability as I ahve then you are best advised to hire a guide, not cheap but well worth it. The climb is not for the faint hearted. I certainly did not find it a walk in the park. There are some very steep parts and unless you are experienced or have the right footware it can... More

One of my favourite hills. If you are used to hill walking then I recommend the Watkin path. There is a car park at the foot of the trail, charging £4 a day and plenty of spaces. The walk should take you about 3 hours each way. Come down via the ridges and you would have had the perfect day... More

Hard work, went up the Miners Track disapointed with the views as the clouds were quite low. In addition the routes up and down were very very busy with 2 or 3 large groups (hundreds ) of charity based walkers. Still a magnificent acheivement yet again. If you want a quiet route up choose the Watkins Path More

We went up via Pyg and returned via Miners. These are apparently the easier routes. I had a huge smile on my face after completing it. Please make sure you wear the correct walking gear. There were people walking down, after getting the train up, in just jeans and normal shoes! Are they crazy??!! The cafe at the top was... More

It was an extraordinary effort for me - with this unending seasonal lurgy and being below fitness anyway - to haul myself up Snowdon. It started out okay, but then I wasn't planning on getting to the top - with this chest - just having a walk - a stab at it. But, as I walked and kept eyeing new... More
