I imagine this ride would be more agreeable for families with children. We found the price to be high for what it offered us as a couple. The train is charming, but runs down a short track around part of the lake before turning around and going back down the same path again. Trip time is about an hour. More

Nice gentle train ride. Great way to see the Lake without too much effort. Guide is informative and enthusiastic. We usually take friends and visitors to this attraction and everyone loves it. More

Having spent a whole day walking from the end of the Llyn exploring as we went, the train ride back to the car was not only an enjoyable pleasure ride with lovely views across the water, but it was a saving grace for our poor tired feet. More

At £7.50 pp return the trip isn't cheap but the experience of a travelling behind a steam engine originating from the slate mines is worth it. The views across the lake and over the mountains are beautiful. More

We were in the area but I wouldn't recommend that anyone makes a special journey for a ride on this train. It's a one way journey along the lake to a dead end then the train turns around and goes back. Dogs are allowed on the train, the ones we were unfortunately stuck in a carriage with, really smelt offensive... More

Lovely view across the lake and looking across at Snowdon on the little railway but at £7.50 I think it was very much overpriced for what you got. More

Very good experience; though its better if you start queuing for tickets early to avoid dissapointment. We bought our tickets at around 9:50 am and by 11:00 they were sold out. More

I really liked this trip and me and my family spent a good hour whilst the weather was miserable! The driver was very pleasant at the end of the line and let us take some good pictures. Would recommend and thought that the price was fair. More
