What this beach sets apart from any other sandy beach in the neighborhood is the fact that you don't expect it to be there. Even if you know that it is there it surprises you when suddenly reveals itself just under your feet. To reach it you need to park at the Stackpole Quay Car Park (National Trust, parking fee)... There's nothing more to say to the reviews already given other than a suggestion to go out of popular holiday times and include the beach as part of a circular walk starting at Bosherton Lily Ponds, going via Stackpole Head to Stackpole Quay (with its National trust tea room, the 'Boat House') and returning via the farm road to the... Great beach, you HAVE to walk there, or go in by boat if you are lucky to own one. Do not expect to see ice cream stalls, tacky shops or deck chairs. Beautiful sand, interesting dunes. Go, sit, enjoy, and then go to Boat House Tea Room for tea and cake. More

Superb sandy beach. The view from the cliff is just awesome. Unfortunately its quite remote and not accessible to people with limited mobility as there is a steep climb and further around 10 min stroll followed by many stairs to reach this extremely clean sandy beach. The beach is never overcrowded but the best time to visit would be early... More

Superb beach comparable to anything in europe, only the access prevents an excellent rating, but if there was better access then the beach would be too full More

Park in the national trust car park , nice clean toilets there and also a lovely cafe serving freshly made food, snacks tea coffee etc, take the marked path and head off through the fields, quite a steep climb to start and finsh the walk! Well worth the 15 min walk as the beach when you get here is stunning! White... More

Tranquil, deserted, pure sand and sea. The feeling of isolation is tangible here. Accessed from the cliff path. What a place More

Barafundle has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and its easy to see why. We (a family of 4) paid it a visit this October half term - it is stunning. Access to the beach is via the car park at Stackpole quay, you then have to walk about a mile over the headlands before... More

Hi all, i am a pembrokeshire resident, l have lived here all of my life. I get really annoyed when people complain about us walking the dogs on the beach in the summer, yet it is fine to do so in the winter when it is blowing a gale, which I enjoy to be honest, really blows away the cobwebs!!... Barafundle is in my opinion the best beach in Pembrokeshire, which is saying something as there are many excellent beaches. It is completely unspoilt, and the walk from Stackpole Quay means that it doesn't get too busy with the invasion of tourists every year. One comment about the allowance of dogs on he beach. There are plenty of beaches where... More
