Co-incidentally visited on Bank Holiday Monday when there were several special events arranged to make the day even more special. Lots to see at this outdoor museum showcasing what life would have been like for people living in various areas in Wales in the 19/20th centuries. Costumed and knowledgeable staff are on hand at most places and there are also... More

A definite must see! You need to take the sight seeing bus to get there as it is out of town then the adventure begins. The idea of an open museum sets in a beautiful landscape is just brilliant!

What a fantastic venue, free entry, just a parking fee to pay. Loads of adventures for young and old, whilst learning about Welsh culture and heritage. Would recommend the local produce in restarant and coffee shop

This was a great place to visit. Ideally you need a sunny day, although it rained during our visit and so we visited the coffee shop, along with everyone else....five staff but very very slow service! I took some elderly welsh relatives and they loved it, I'm younger by comparison but I also enjoyed seeing the old houses and chatting... More

I've been twice over the years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well tended and beautiful. Go on a day when the weather is good if you have the option. It is a great day to spend walking around outside. It's open and kid friendly. Lots of space to run around. There are buildings from various eras... More

I took my husband to show him on a recent trip to the UK. There are 59 exhibits and we didn't manage them all. There is a little train that will transport you around for .50p per person. Each house has a member if staff who can answer your questions and tell you about the property's history. £3.50 to park... More

Interesting rural history set in pleasant grounds. The guides were both knowledgable and helpful. Good cafe and refreshments.

We brought three grandchildren here in May and had a wonderful day. St Teilo's church is outstanding and the staff were very helpful explaining to the children (and me) the meaning of the murals. Dismantling, transporting and rebuilding this church from Pontarddulais to Cardiff was a terrific idea and achievement. Great day out.

Firstly remember take £3.50 for car parking machines, they don't like 5 pence's. We took a picnic so only bought ice cream and fresh coffee from the entrance coffee, its the best they serve. The gift shop holds a great range of welsh products as well as the authentic shops, they bake fresh crusty bread and sell on site. There... More

If you only have time to visit one site - make this your choice. Fantastic! Be sure to allow at least 4 or 5 hours to this - and best if the weather is dry (as it is an outdoor museum!)
