What a wonderful resource the Welsh people and visitors alike have here. A little like Sovereign Hill (for the Australian / Victorians) this is a glimpse into Wales' past, with real historic buildings from around the country transported to this place. Sadly we only had a couple of hours here, but could easily have spent the whole day. Amazing! More

There are 40 historic buildings that have been transported from around Wales and placed on 100 acres. The castle is beautiful and the homes of coal miners and merchants are very interesting. More

The teashop here has a reputation for being very good and atmospheric but the decor was more dodgy pub than tradtional tea shop and the food was very mediocre. We saw a long line outside a bread shop there, possibly that is a better place to buy lunch as long as the weather is nice enough for a picnic. More
