The 3 different caves Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and Bone Cave each offer a unique underground experience. In Dan-yr-Ogof you walk through the beautifully decorated passageways for just under 1 kilometre; in Cathedral Cave you walk through its enormous caverns, carved out millions of years ago, and at the end of this cave experience the excitement of walking behind the 40 feet high waterfalls that cascade around you in the ‘Dome of St Paul’s’, an atmospheric end to a truly wonderful cave; and in Bone Cave learn why 42 human skeletons were buried here, and how our ancestors used caves all those years ago. On site we also have one of the world’s largest collections of life-sized dinosaur models, ranging from the ever popular Tyrannosaurus Rex and Brachiosaurs, to the lesser-known Tsintaosaurus. There are over 200 models here – can you find your favourite dinosaur? The Shire Horse Centre offers the excitement of the 2 covered children’s play areas, the farm yard area, and why not make friends with the gentle giants – the Shire horses who are waiting to say hello. Include the Iron Age village, museum, and stone circles, and you have plenty to see and do for all ages, and for those who may want a break, there is our Coffee shop, and the Rock and Dinosaur shop to enjoy. « less

I love the caves, it's great fun for kids and adults and very interesting. It always seems to surprise me that Wales naturally homes these caves! I found it a bit pricey but worth it as you can spend the whole day here. More

We went with out 6 yr old grand-daughter for an overnight stay and to visit the Dinasaur Park and Caves. Overall we had an excellent time and we would fully recommend a similar visit. Camp site was well laid out, well maintained and very clean. By way of improvement it would have been helpful to have a little more prominent... More

Best possible Plway to spend a day out, whole family enjoyed from young children to grandparents. Staff were friendly and more than helpful, the caves themselves were breathtaking. The price more than justifies what you are getting in return. Would Definitely go back again. More

I visited the showcaves last week with my wife and three children. We all had a fantastic day as there were attractions to suit each of us. The caves, especially Cathedral Cave, were astonishing. The best I have seen. I thought Cheddar Gorge would be impossible to top within the UK, but the caves at Dan-yr-Ogof knock socks off them.... More

We visited here as a family in April 2012. It was a dry day. From the minute we walked into the gate we quite liked the look of the dinosaurs but generally the whole place seems to feel really quite dated especially the restaurant area. The staff in the restaurant were difficult to gain attention for service but once we... More

Thank you for writing a review following your visit. It is great to read you had a great visit with us. The Morgan Brothers certainly were pioneers in their time – they explored the cave with only candles and rope!! I am glad to say it is much easier today following their hard work. More
