Swansea market is a lovely market for purchasing locally souced products such as vegetables, meats ,welsh butter, cockles, laverbread and cheeses, bread and beautiful fresh fish.
Inside there are now cafes as well as gift shops and florists. There is a lovely traditional Welsh cultural feel about this market and it is something Swansea should be proud of.

Great place to buy all sorts of goods and food. The cockles are fantastic - fresh and juicy with no sand!
I love old markets like this as you can find stuff you'd never find in a normal shop and it's all under cover - a big plus in the bad weather. Well worth a visit if you are in...

Plenty of small stalls, fish mongers, meat counters, card shops, cafes etc.

Wow popped in to get a pair of boots re-heeled and was pleasantly surprised at the number of stalls. Cafe's, sweets, cosmetics, children's toys, bags and Jewellery as well as lots of local fresh meats, fish and bakeries products. I'm not one for Markets but definately worth half hour of your time to browse.

Anyhow, Swansea Market has always...

Okay but very much like a US indoor swapmeet. A lot of cheap trinkets. The food stands were good with lots of Welsh baked goods.

Visted Swansea market which is excellent as has been said before and is my favourite market. But found for the first time an excellent little Indian restaurant called Punjabi Tiffin.
Food beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced - I would say cheap.
Owner said it had been going since July. I had lunch very nice chicken curry, rice (not plain...
