Thanks for writing this review, though I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I admit that I am surprised as the majority of the repeat visitors we get are children. We also take a very large number of school bookings every year,, most of whom come back time and time again citing how much the children enjoyed themselves.
I appreciate...

Formal guided tour but fun and informative for older children with the opportunity to make your own item and take it home (or eat it on the spot!)

Thank you writing this lovely review. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your visit.
We do like to take a somewhat educational approach to the factory tour and try to offer more than just a simply, fun experience with added chocolate. There’s a section on the history of chocolate for the adults and big kids, while we go out...

took our chidren on a visit to the chocolate factory, very expensive entery costs for what you get, would rather make the drive to the cadburys world in birmingham as you get much more for your money and a much longer tour of the factory.

Thanks for taking the trouble to write this review, although I’m disappointed to hear that it didn’t live up to your expectations.
The significant majority of our visitors do think we are worth the trip, with over 90% of our visitors responding positively on our survey forms to the question ‘Do you think your visit to was good value for...

It is exactly what it says on the tin, A Factory.
There is an interesting talk/DVD at the start of the tour explaining how chocolate is made from bean to bar.
The factory melts chocolate and moulds it into different shapes, this is what you are actually going to see.
The chocolate on sale in the shop at the end...

Thanks for writing this review.
As you’ve rightly mentioned, The Chocolate Factory is indeed real factory, differentiating us from a lot of our competitors. No Oompa Loompas or chocolate rivers to be found here, but working production lines are always in full-swing when the tours are on, manufacturing legitimate items for our customers for all our visitors to see.
We...

Just ok, walking round the factory area, felt really sorry for the workers, who resembled animals on display in the Zoo. Presentation which followed was amateurish and not worth the entrance fee.

Many thanks for writing up this review, and I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t quite get the experience you were hoping for.

It was interesting but as I am not into chocolate that much, I wasn't as interested as I might have been. Rest of party loved it.

Thanks for writing this review. A non-chocolate lover in a chocolate factory? Must have been quite challenging! I wish we’d known your tipple in advance – we might have been able to find you some marshmallows or jelly-beans to nibble on as we walked around.
While I can’t personally relate to your apathy to chocolate, we welcome your review and...

Firstly apologies for the delayed review. We visited The Chocolate Factory last October whilst on holiday in Swansea. We had a great time!
Due to it being out of season and a quiet time, we were actually the only people on the tour! On arrival, Gareth gave us a warm welcome and took us into a separate room to give...

What a fantastic review! We are overjoyed!
As you say in your review, there are times out of season, usually when schools are back in session, when public visits tend to quieten down. Provided there isn’t a private booking in place, we will still perform a fully-guided tours for members of the public, even if there’s only a couple of...

I couldn't believe how well they put together this tour around quite a small industrial complex. Our guide pitched it just right for our group, the children were kept well in check despite the obvious hazards, and through a combination of good story telling, demonstration, and copious amounts of samples. There was then a short interactive lecture that was really...

Wow! Thank you very much for this very kind write-up. We’re so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to The Chocolate Factory!
One of the advantages of being a fully-guided tour around a real, working factory is that we can adjust the delivery and content of the tour for the different groups that come through our doors. We...
