Glenariff forest, is absolutely stunning, but beware!! Dare to rest your weary bones on the picnic tables outside the cafe, even for the briefest moments and be ready to be verbally abused! My fiancee and I sat at the picnic table outside the cafe today, the rest of the tables were empty, the cook came out and immediately stapled a... More

I have been visiting Glenariff Forest Park for years now. I have walked every trail: Viewpoint trail was such a short walk I managed to do Waterfall trail during same day - that is a lovely trail that gets you up close to the waterfalls (steps lead you up/down the side of the waterfalls). I would recommend you start your... More

no trail maps nor did the keyboard at the car park work -- but never mind. The waterfalls are worth it. Just take cleated boots and some water and snacks and you won't see a soul. The is the largest of the 9 glens and some are much more remote than this one. Good climbing. More

This place is beautiful. We had a lovely walk, and then headed to the cafe beside the car park because it was pouring rain so we couldnt sit outside to have our picninc. We spent £8 there on tea and biscuits for me and our five kids only for the manager to come over and tell us we had no... More

This lady purchased tea and then produced two cool boxes to picnic with 5 kids and 2 adults, over two tables which paying customers could use. Had the lady informed me of her intentions when buying the tea, she would have been informed it was not company policy to allow picnics in the premises. When staff brought what had developed to... I would agree with the previous reviewer that the scenery is worth the visit. However we also had an unpleasant experience with possibly the same "rude woman" in the cafe.My wife asked her on 3 times for 1 latte and i cappuccino. Each time she ignored my wife and repeated rudely 2 cappuccinos. Eventually she served us 2 coffees which... More

Glenariffe Forest is a must for any visitor to N.I. The scenery is simply breath taking. There are several routes which can be taken and suit all abilities. Sensible footwear is recommended as can become slippy at times but most of the paths are of a good quality. The waterfall walk is probably the most pretty of the walks. We... More
