I am not a fan of golf, haha, however this friary has a special feeling indeed. It is utterly beautiful and well perserved with old headstones and so much to learn. Any time I have gone here, there is never another soul around. The ancient ruin of the friary is amazing! It is in such a peaceful setting and the gravestones (some from at least the 1500's) are amazing...you can't help put notice and nod in respect to the graves of the unknown sailors from world war II that washed up... More

This is a quaint attractraction set off the main road. It is a deserted ruin with a number of war graves from both the 1st and 2nd World Wars and at which an annual Remembrance Service is held after the main Cenotaph service for the town. It is a good place for the kids to explore and play More

Parking area is full with three cars in it, however the main road is straight here and parking on it is reasonably safe. Site is bounded on three sides by Ballycastle Golf course. The ruins are under government care and access is good for persons of all mobility. The building itself is surrounded by a graveyard and contains some war... More
