This was a great day out. The highlight for our kids (8 & 6 yrs) was the 'touch tank'. The kids get to touch 'Sharks' (dogfish), Starfish, Oysters, Rays etc. Massive big tank with all sorts of really big fish, and a seal sanctuary too. We hit it lucky and were there for seal feeding time. Very interesting info on... More

Brilliant for kids - not too big, but masses to see and a real variety of marine life. The main focus is on local stuff, with the heart-warming seal rescue centre & the fabulous hands-on talks at the 2 touch pools. (My 3 year old was smitten with the ray that kept bobbing out of the water so he could... More

Went to this place for a day out with my family , im not going to say as much as i would like to as it may not get approved, enough to say if you want to spend £7 pound per adult and £4.50 per child to walk around a miserable excuse for a marina can i suggest you go... More

A fabulous aquarium with hundreds fish native to Ireland, some extremely exotic looking! Plus it is also a seal rescue center which had many beautiful seals looking great and ready to be released again. My favourite part was most diffenately the touch pool. A very knowledgable employee told us a lot of very interesting information about Irish sea life. We... More

After reading the previous poor reviews we still decided to take our 3 year old and we are glad we did. Ok it's not Sydney aquarium but it is in "Norn Iron", and shows local species. We had a great avo and our daughter loved touching the star fish and rays, watching jelly fish, sharks, sea horses, lobsters, etc, oh,... More

Overall the place looks a little tired and in need of a facelift. For the national aquarium of Northern Ireland, they need to do better. The place is much hyped and just a tad disappointng when you get there. In need of a facelft. The fish are just about ok. ? Enough to keep a 3-year old amused but I... More

Run down and generally dirty looking. When we got there the cafe was closed and the gift shop so we didn't even have those to divert us from the rest of the place. The tanks looked like they needed a good clean out a lot where empty and kids areas where in very poor condition. Come on guys surely there... More

Overrall a very disappointing day out. Travelled to Exploris with 3 boys aged 8, 9 and 10 and a baby of 11 months. The whole building is in severe need of a facelift, the reception area and toilet facilities in particular. Baby changing facilities are poor and on the day of our visit one of the lifts at the gift... More

What a fantastic day. 3 Adults and 2 Children had a great time. I have been to other aquariums (noteably the terrible Sardinian Aquarium) and this was fantastic. All the fish seem to be happy in their enviroment and had plenty of space to swim around in. There are lots of different types and well enough to keep everyone interested... More

Exploris was a great day out for our whole family. The kids loved the discovery pool demonstrations where visitors can interact with various different species of sea life (like starfish, rays and urchins). While everybody loved the big beady eyes of the seals. My youngest - Shelly even adopted one! Its not very expensive and a pretty unique centre with... More
