great for all ages, you will not be dissapointed best day out you have lots to do and see there is even a restaurant in one of the carriages to get tea coffee tray bakes etc

This is a brilliant attempt at retaining some of what was destroyed by the short sighted planning of the past, when the rail networks here were closed by government. The restored rail and rolling stock are well run and events through the year help keep it all alive. A great cause worthy of all your support.

Absolutely loved this trip on the railway & the tour round. Its amazing to think this is all manned by hard working volunteers. Would go back time after time!

We recently enjoyed an afternoon out at Downpatrick Steam railway. The whole family was there who range in age from 87 years to 3 years and there was something for everyone to enjoy. There is a small museum upstairs in the station house where you can learn a little about the steam railway. The train journey is on original restored...
