Tollymore is a great Forest Park in Northern Ireland. Very quiet and great for camping and caravan. A lot of different walking trails can be used for mountain biking as well. If you go mountain biking better wake up early to avoid hill walkers. From the forest you can go straight to Mourne Mountains. more
I have been to Tollymore Forest Park several times. Each time is a new adventure. The old stone bridges are beautiful. Sometimes there is a slight fog around the huge variety of trees and you feel like you are in a fairlyland! Walking beside the brook with several small waterfalls is amazing. Good camping site. Very busy at weekends and July/August. Like most Northern Ireland sites the facilities are basis but clean. Scenery and walks etc magnificient. more
This park is a great camping spot in co. down. The rates are very reasonable and everyone is extremely friendly. Set not to far from the town of Newcastle so easy access to the shops and beach.
